Lakeside Park trip is off :(!

     It looks like it will be clear for this afternoon, so the walk to Lakeside Park is on!  
Nasty stuff is just popping up on the radar.  Sorry, but we felt we should cancel.

Newsletter 5-23-13

      Friday, May 24, is our field trip to Healthworks Kids Museum in South Bend.  We will be leaving at 8:30, right after announcements and we will be returning shortly before the end of the school day.  Please send a disposable sack lunch and drink, labeled with your child's name.

      Confirmed chaperones also need to bring a lunch and drink.  Come dressed in comfortable clothes!  We will be picnicking and playing outside at Potowatami Park in the afternoon.

      We will be walking to Lakeside Park after lunch and recess on Friday, May 31.  We will leave about 12:45 for the park and begin our return walk about 2:30.  All parents and siblings are welcome to join us.  You may walk with us or meet us at the park if you choose to attend.

Newsletter 5-17-13

       The walk-a-thon fundraiser for Relay for Life was a great success!  We raised over $9000 as a school to support Relay for Life!  We walked, ran, and danced around the circle out front while we talked with our friends, blew bubbles, and blew on our party tooters.  It was a great time!

Newsletter 5-10-13

     The walk-a-thon fundraiser for Relay for Life will be on Thursday, May 16.  Our class will be walking from 12:50-1:30 with Mrs. Shofner's class.  We plan to walk outside at the school.  The weather forecast looks good!  Come in shoes good for walking.  Parents are welcome to come and join us!

     Friday we will be taking a bus to the high school for a quick field trip to learn about where our food comes from.  The high school FFA students will be hosting us.

Butterfly birthday!

   We finally have some butterflies!  We even got to watch one emerge from its chrysalis on the smartboard!  Sorry for the blurry pictures, they were the best we could get.

Newsletter 5-3-13

     We have some field trips coming up soon.  The dates are below.  The Food For America trip is only about 1 hour long and we don't need any chaperones.  I could use some help for the Healthworks trip though.  Please send me a note if you would like to attend.  No siblings on this trip, please.  The trip to Lakeside Park is also open if anyone would like to walk down with us or meet us there.  Siblings are welcome on this trip! The permission slips for these trips are coming home today.  Lucky for us they are all free trips!  No money is necessary, all I need is a signature on all three pages for permission to attend.  Thanks!
