Protect a Peep STEM Challenge

Today's STEM challenge was to build a raft to protect your Easter peep from sinking or getting wet.  The materials available for use were 12 popsicle sticks, 2 ft of masking tape, 2 ft of yarn, and glue.  Our groups did a great job!  The following groups successfully completed the challenge for at least 5 minutes!
Preston and Aidan
Carlie and Emma
Isabelle and Mylee
Bo and Dylan
Max and Louie

Congratulations on your hard work.  Check out your child's seesaw account for video footage of their challenge.

Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!

We ate green eggs and Ham for Dr. Seuss' birthday today.

A Trip to the Moon

We have been reading The Invention of Hugo Cabret in class.  We learned about George Melies and that he was an early filmmaker.  We watched one of his films in class, A Trip to the Moon, which was made in 1902.  Here is the link, in case you want to watch it together.
