We finished addition with regrouping in math this week. We will be working on subtraction with regrouping for the next few weeks. We will continue to have a little extra math homework coming home for practice. It is always okay to have help with homework. It is extra practice for things we have already learned in class.
Our class is taking a field trip to the WMS planetarium on Thursday, Nov. 6. It is just a quick trip before lunch. Please return permission slips if you have not yet. This is a free field trip!
Thanks for the great fall party! Our room parents, Mrs. Baldwin and Mrs. Yarger planned a great afternoon for us. Thanks to all who helped out or joined us!

Newsletter 10-17-14
Since next week is a short week due to fall break, there is no spelling test. The list below is for the following week, test on Thursday, Oct. 30.
We have had loads of fun learning about the moon. The moon phases bonus assignment (where students draw the moon each night/morning) is due Tuesday, Oct. 28. Thanks for your help with this!

Next week we will learn how to write the problems out. We will probably have a little extra math homework coming home for practice. It is always okay to have help with homework. It is extra practice for things we have already learned in class.

Facial expression
An important part of drawing people that look real is drawing facial expression. We learned that eyebrows are the key!
