Newsletter 2-28-14

Congratulations to our class science fair participants!  Four students in our class submitted a project: Tabitha, Allison, TaPanga, and Kierstyn.  Check out the blog for photos!

We are collecting up new items for the second grade auction basket for the Spring Carnival.  Our theme is Beach Basket.  Please send in any new items, big or small, to help fill up our basket for this worthwhile PTO fundraiser.

We could use some more snacks for our snack cabinet.  Thanks in advance for any healthy snacks you are able to send!

Please make sure children have warm coats, hats, and gloves each day for school.  Snow pants and boots are nice, but at the very least they need hats, coats, and gloves for recess each day.  We closely monitor the weather and make a decision right before recess if we will be going out or staying in.  Please make sure your child is prepared either way.

Puzzlers

Well,  around Christmas time we encountered a puzzle problem in our room - we ran out of 100 piece puzzles to work!  The class voted instead of doing them again, to try a 550 piecer.  They have been working very hard at it and are about halfway finished.  Way to go puzzlers!  I am really proud of them for taking on such a big challenge.

Valentine party

Thanks to all who helped with the Valentine Party!  It was tons of fun!

A new puzzle

Mrs. Hays' seventh grade son, Ethan, made a puzzle of the United States in his Industrial Technology class at Wawasee Middle School.  We had fun putting it together!  Thanks, Ethan!
