Welcome back after a great holiday break!

We are working on measurement in math right now. We should finish up next week and we will be moving on to telling time. This is a big one for second grade. You can help us by talking about time during your day with your child. Talk about what time you have dinner, bedtime, or family events together. Talk about how much time until those things will happen. Giving them authentic experiences that matter really helps to build deep understanding.

In reading workshop we are working on inferring.  Inferring is using clues from the book and things you already know to figure out things the author doesn’t tell you in the text.
